Decoilers with a cantilevered, hydraulically expandable shaft for quick and easy loading/unloading of sheet metal coils. The decoiler can operate automatically in two modes: i) motorized mode, with rotation of the coil shaft via a gearmotor automatically controlled by a loop generated by the unwinding sheet metal; ii) idle rotation mode, with a brake adjustable via a parameter set on the operator panel. The rotation of the coil shaft, as well as the movement of the pressing arm and the rotation of the pressing arm roller, can be activated manually, useful for loading/unloading the coil and inserting the coil head into subsequent operating machines, especially with thick sheet metal.
Technical data:
Expandable shaft diameter: from 450 to 550 mm (with the addition of sectors: from 550 to 650 mm)
Coil width: from 250 to 2000 mm
Maximum external coil diameter: 1900 mm
Maximum capacity: from 3 tons to 25 tons
Maximum sheet metal thickness: 6 mm
This coil head entry system consists of a double shield and is positioned at the straightener's inlet to facilitate the introduction of the coil head from the decoiler into the straightener's feed rollers. It consists of an extendable and vertically movable lower plate, as well as a vertically movable upper plate, equipped with a roller at the end, to contain and guide the sheet metal as it enters the straightener's feed rollers. It therefore allows these operations to be performed without the machine operator having to handle the metal coil by hand, which could create dangerous situations. This system is particularly useful for thick sheet metal.
Technical data:
Coil width: from 250 to 2000 mm
Maximum sheet metal thickness: 6 mm
Its function is to remove the curvature from coiled sheet metal and flatten it, facilitating proper processing by subsequent machines and simultaneously ensuring flatness of the finished products. It also advances the sheet metal from the coil loaded onto the decoiler, thus feeding the sheet metal to the parts production machine. The sheet metal is advanced and straightened to achieve the correct flatness using appropriately sized and treated rollers.
The upper straightening rollers are moved vertically either manually by handwheels, or with electric motors controlled by the line's CNC, to allow their height to be set to the correct working position.
Technical data:
Coil width: from 250 to 2000 mm
Maximum sheet metal thickness: 6 mm
Number of straightening rollers: 6 to 16
Cartesian axis portals and anthropomorphic robots operate grippers consisting of a frame with suction cups to pick up the workpieces produced by the coil-fed operating machines and perform palletized unloading. These systems are equipped with tables with motorized conveyors that accompany the evacuation of the workpieces from the machine that produces them, placing them in the positions established by the automatic work cycle and for picking by the gripper with suction cups. The suction cups are equipped with an automatic closing valve that allows the grip to be activated only for those positioned on the workpieces to be unloaded, while the suction cups positioned outside the workpieces find the honeycomb surface belt that triggers the blocking valve, automatically inhibiting their action.
A hydraulic platform with high capacity and adequate dimensions receives the unloaded workpieces for palletization in Cartesian gantry systems, used primarily for unloading large pieces, or for unloading multiple workpieces simultaneously distributed across the gripping area above the motorized conveyors and then depositing them on the pallets. The unloading system with an anthropomorphic robot does not require a hydraulic platform, as it palletizes directly on the floor with greater flexibility, but with a lower capacity compared to the size of the workpieces to be unloaded. The robot, with perfect synchronization and in an automatic work cycle, picks up each individual piece from the various and different positions on the table with a motorized belt and places it quickly and precisely on a single collection pallet or on different pallets, selecting the various pieces. Automatic unloading systems are optional add-on solutions for automatically palletizing the produced parts. Produtech's coil-fed machines, thanks to their unloading rollers, can automatically unload the parts onto a collection table, without the need for unloading systems. These systems, however, allow the produced parts to be neatly placed on the pallets, overlapping them without scratching or damaging their surfaces.
Technical data:
Maximum piece width: 2000 mm
Maximum length of pieces: depending on the needs
The AutoCOIL automatic coil changing system can safely, quickly, and easily replace coils being processed, not only with thin sheet metal, but especially with thick metal coils. The system replaces and eliminates all manual operations for picking from the warehouse and loading/unloading coils from the decoiler, as well as the dangerous operations of cutting the metal coil strips that hold the sheet metal in place.
The automatic coil changing system consists of:
The AutoCOIL system in addition to automating coil loading/unloading for processing, provides real-time information on raw-material consumption for each production run, as well as the weight of each coil stored in individual stations. This enables effective production planning and control.
