Produtech is a company strongly committed to process innovation. Through a significant commitment to Research & Development, it designs, manufactures, and presents to the market an exclusive range of machines that form sheet metal processing lines, which are fed directly from the coil.
The first innovative, highly flexible, compact coil-fed punching machines for producing metal components fed directly from sheet metal coils were launched on the market in 2002. High-quality components, with linear and torque motors that allow direct-drive axis movement, eliminate wear and backlashes, and ensure precision and reliability. Punching lines with different power ratings, workable thicknesses, and coil widths were available. Further development led to fully electrically operated coil-fed punching machines, offering energy savings and a lower environmental impact.
Subsequently, in 2011, Produtech introduced the first coil-fed fiber laser line, which operates by feeding directly from the sheet metal coil. This groundbreaking innovation offers enormous advantages in terms of raw material savings, reduced maintenance and labor, and reduced polluting emissions. The sheet metal support surface is smooth and free of sharp edges (no slats bed), and the ability to produce parts of unlimited lengths thanks to the coil feed and the "repetitive step" production mode, which provides high production capacity with a very compact machine layout.
Produtech reached the pinnacle of its technological development in 2018 with the creation of the EffiCOIL combined machine. This machine combines punching and forming technology using mechanical tools with fiber optic laser cutting technology in a single machine. It boasts a feature that still makes it unique on the global market today: direct coil feeding. Productivity, flexibility, no setup or handling, and energy savings are the key features of EffiCOIL! With the completion of this innovative project, the European Commission (EU) not only partially funded the development of the first prototype but also awarded Produtech a Certificate of Excellence for being an innovative company.
Last but not least, in 2025, Produtech developed and implemented a system called AutoCOIL to automate coil changes during production on Produtech lines. The goal is to make direct coil feeding production even more cost-effective, eliminating the laborious, dangerous, and complex manual operations required to change sheet metal rolls during production, especially with high thicknesses.
The development of new skills, consolidated by extensive experience in the specific sector, has generated advanced technological know-how that has allowed Produtech to consolidate its presence on the global market, introducing a new and innovative production method: producing metal components directly from the raw material in coils, avoiding the need for sheet metal cutting, palletizing, and handling operations. This also offers the advantages of reduced production space and less sheet metal waste due to the "leftovers" from the ends of sheet metal processing.
